This Is Me

We went to the doctor for a weight check yesterday because Mr. Maddox gained 11 ounces in his first week home which is unusual. Babies usually lose a little bit to begin with. The doctor said he wouldn’t be surprised if he lost weight at this point. Well he was at 9 lbs 4ounces so he’s still gaining which makes me a happy momma. He’s doing well and even letting me sleep. :) He goes to bed at about 11 and wakes up at 4 and then again at 8. He naps most of the day. I had no idea newborns sleep so much. Even then all I want to do is hold him so I don’t get much house work done. Rob has been amazingly helpful with feedings and diaper changings and everything. It does get overwhelming at times and I ask myself “can I really do this?” But I love my baby and all the crazy moments are worth it.
